Tuesday Aria's Nursery Reveal & giveaway

I am so excited I finally took some pictures of Aria's nursery today and thought I'd share it with you. Decorating Aria's room has been one of my favorite things so far and I am very happy with the final result. I wanted a feminine & sophisticated feel for her nursery with lots of white and soft touches of pink and gold.

I love the peaceful feeling I get as I enter this room. And I treasure the moment we spend there together, either playing and laughing chasing after each other or when it's bedtime and I get to sing her lullabies and give her goodnight kisses.
We were so blessed because most of the things such as the crib, the bedding set etc. were baby shower gifts from family and friends so we ended up spending very little to complete the nursery. My favorite decoration in her room, is the gold foil print of her tiny footprints and birth stats I made for her. I have had a lot of questions about it so I decided to giveaway two customized prints to two lovely followers. This will be an Instagram giveaway.

I am linking below most of the things you see in the pictures.

Monday YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer & Perfector

Hi lovely friends,

So I got these set of amazing YSL blur primer and perfector from Influenster to review and I loved them. First of all I was so impressed with its packaging which is top notch, very compact and so glamorous. I keep it in my purse and use it through out the day to touch up my make up. The light pink blush gives my light skin a nice glow and corrects any imperfections. Also I love this primer. It makes my skin look flawless and it truly has a blur out effect, meaning that it evens out my skin tone and any imperfections that my skin might have. It has a nice consistency and leaves your skin feel soft and silky. It is a great primer to add to your make up routine.

Thanks Influenster for sending me this YSL box.

XO

Tuesday Pure White

Hello everyone,

So these pictures were taken about 1 month and half ago, but I just hadn't had time to post them. These were taken at the San Diego Temple grounds. We love San Diego Temple and we make sure we go there whenever we visit San Diego. This time we weren't able to go inside since we had Aria with us, but we loved spending some quiet  and peaceful time there on Sunday after church. We even got to meet a lovely family who were taken some family photos there. For those of you who don't know what LDS temples are, I would encourage you to watch this video or email me with any questions if you want to learn more. I love going to the temple because they are truly a piece of heaven here on earth. It is also the place where my husband and I got married.

While we were there Aria and I took some pictures and they are probably my favorite pictures of us two. We were both wearing white dresses and I felt so in harmony with the purity and sanctity of that place.

Thanks for stopping by!

Teething tips and Tricks, what to pack when traveling with a teething baby

Hi lovely friends,

I hope you all had a great weekend! I felt like my weekend was over before I even realized with all the unpacking and organizing I had to do. We moved to our new apartment about a week ago and finally almost everything is unpacked and in order. And now the apartment seems so much bigger without all the boxes everywhere. It didn’t help that Aria has been super clingy these past few days and she wants to be held all the time. I don’t know what it is, maybe teething discomfort, maybe she is not used to the new apartment yet. I am not sure, but as all the other babies, she goes through these different phases and so I have learned to accept that fact and put all the other things on hold to give her a little more attention and love as she grows out of them. And in the meantime I learn so much about motherhood and all the joys that come with it. She’s growing up so fast and I can’t believe she is going to be 8 months this week.

As moms we all want nothing but the best for our children and we want to help them as they go through these difficult phases. Teething has been a difficult phase for us. Aria has been teething for a few months now and she doesn’t have any teeth yet. So I had to do a lot of research in order to learn how to help her ease the teething pain. One day was especially hard on both of us and I posted a picture of Aria on Instagram asking for tips and tricks on how to ease the teething pain and I got so many responses and advice from many of my dear friends and family. I want to send a big thank you to all of you for helping this new mama. Thank you so much for all the advice. I’m going to refer to some of those tips in this post.

A month ago we traveled to San Diego for a short vacation and we had such a good time. It was Aria’s first flight and to my surprise she did amazing. So today I wanted to share with you the most important things you need to pack when traveling with your teething baby. So here are my top three things to have in your bag besides all the other necessities such as diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer etc.

1.      Teething toys/Teether – There are so many different kinds of teethers out there and I’ve probably bought all the kinds hahahah. From my research and also the direct advice I got on my Instagram account from a friend who is a dentist, I’ve found that cold compresses help to soothe teething pain, in the same way that ice works on a sprained ankle to numb pain and reduce swelling. I’ve noticed that Aria likes her cold liquid-filled teether as it helps her sore gums. She also likes her little lamb teether as well as the little rubber duck you see in these pictures.

2.      Thermometer – I always keep a thermometer in my diaper bag when I know I’ll be traveling with my baby, either on road trips or flights. Cutting the first tooth is pretty painful and even can cause mild fever. So it’s always good to have a thermometer handy.

3.      Infants' Advil – I first bought my Infants Advil when Aria got her 6 months vaccine shots so I could have it just in case she developed a fever.  Infants' Advil® is available for infants ages 6 to 23 months old in a non- staining, Dye-Free White Grape liquid and it offers parents a simple, effective solution to relieve their babies' pain with up to 8- hours of relief in just one dose. So whenever I am traveling now, I pack one with me in case Aria gets a lot of teething pain. I know there are Walgreens everywhere and some of them are open 24 hours, but I always prefer to be prepared and get the things I’ll need ahead of time. Also if you are interested to get yours, there is an instant redeemable coupon for $1.50 off  Infants' Advil.

I would love to learn more about your tips and tricks on how you help your little one ease their teething pain. Feel free to share them with me in the comments below.

Thank you for stopping by lovely friends!

Thursday How to repurpose a Pringles Can + 5 creative ways to use it

So we recently bought a bunch of mini size Pringles from Costco to have as quick snacks around the house or when we go to parks, and every time I finished one I kept thinking of how I could re-purpose the cans and use them for something else. It literally took me 5 minutes to turn it from a red Pringles Can to a cute Gold Can which can be used in so many ways. I am a true believer that a little spray paint can re-purpose anything. And of course I chose gold, cos I love everything gold, but you can use your own favorite color or the one that matches your home decor.

So some creative ways to use it:
1)Hold all your make up brushes
2) Bright up a corner with a gold flower vase
3) Collect all your hair ties/clips in one place
4) Hang your most recently used jewelry before you place them in your jewelry box.
5) Glam up your office space with a gold pen holder
